Simple & transparent

How WeddingPeer works

A peer-to-peer listing platform connecting people who want to rent wedding items with people who have them. All arrangements are made directly between you.

For Renters

Find & rent in 4 steps

1

Find your item

Enter your wedding date and location. Browse listings filtered by size, style, budget, and availability. Every listing includes real measurements and condition grading.

TIPUse the "Will it fit?" measurement guide for a confident choice.
2

Contact the lender

Reach out directly to the lender to ask questions, confirm availability, agree on pricing, and arrange pickup or shipping. All terms are agreed between you.

TIPIntroduce yourself and your wedding date — lenders love knowing who they're lending to.
3

Agree & arrange

Once you've agreed on the rental terms, sort out payment and logistics directly with the lender. You choose whatever method works best for both of you.

TIPConfirm everything in writing via message so both sides have a clear record.
4

Enjoy & return

Look stunning on your big day. Return the item as agreed and leave the lender a review so others can rent with confidence.

TIPTake photos at handover and return — it protects both parties.
For Lenders

Earn from your wardrobe

1

Create your listing

Follow the guided listing wizard. Add photos (front, back, detail, label), measurements, condition, availability, and your pricing. Takes about 5–7 minutes.

TIPGood lighting and clear photos get 3x more requests.
2

Review enquiries

When a renter reaches out, review their message and profile. Ask questions, discuss terms, and decide whether you want to proceed — you are always in control.

TIPYou are always in control of who rents your item.
3

Agree terms directly

Agree on price, rental window, handover method, and any conditions directly with the renter. Handle payment and the rental contract peer to peer.

TIPTake handover photos together — a few seconds that prevent any confusion later.
4

Complete the rental

Once the item is returned as agreed, the rental is done. Leave each other reviews to build trust on the platform for future rentals.

TIPGreat reviews lead to more bookings and a stronger listing.

Why it works

Genuine community

Verified profiles and public reviews mean you know who you're dealing with before you commit to anything.

Full flexibility

Agree on your own terms — rental duration, pricing, handover method, and any conditions that matter to you.

Sustainable by design

Every rental keeps a dress or piece of decor out of landfill. One item, many chapters.

Frequently asked questions

Does WeddingPeer handle payments?

No. WeddingPeer is a pure listing platform. All payment, deposit, and contract arrangements are made directly between the renter and the lender. You choose whatever method works best for you.

What contract do I use?

There is no platform-managed contract. We recommend that both parties agree on terms in writing — via the message function or a separate written agreement. The rental relationship is entirely between the two of you.

What happens if the item is damaged?

Damage handling is agreed directly between renter and lender. We recommend taking timestamped photos at handover and return, and agreeing in advance on how damage would be handled. WeddingPeer does not mediate financial disputes.

What if the item doesn't fit?

We strongly recommend using the measurement guide before reaching out. Since all terms are peer-to-peer, any refund or adjustment is at the lender's discretion. Agree on a try-on or return policy upfront.

Can I try on before committing?

Yes — if the lender agrees to a try-on visit, you can arrange it directly. Simply message the lender to propose it.

How long can I rent for?

Rental duration is fully negotiable between you and the lender. Most lenders indicate a minimum window in their listing. We recommend building in a 2-day buffer before your event.

How are lenders verified?

Lenders can verify via phone number and optionally government ID. Verified badges are shown on profiles and listings, helping renters make confident decisions.
